Terms of Service

1. Who you are contracting with

The Service is provided by AncientDraft. When you purchase a Premium subscription, your contract for that purchase is described in the "Payments and subscriptions" section below.

2. Acceptance

By creating an account, logging in with Steam, making a purchase, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms and that you are of legal age to form a binding contract. Your continued use of the Service constitutes ongoing acceptance of these Terms as they may be updated from time to time.

3. The Service

AncientDraft lets you search Dota 2 players by nickname or Steam ID to view win/loss statistics, most-played heroes, and current professional meta hero recommendations. Some features are free; others require a paid premium subscription.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for all activity that takes place through your use of the Service. In particular, you must not:

• use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose;
• send spam, automate requests, or otherwise attempt to manipulate, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
• infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others;
• harass, threaten, defame, or harm other people, or use the Service to publish unlawful, hateful, or harmful content;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or data, including introducing malware, probing or scanning systems, or bypassing security or access controls;
• scrape, copy, resell, or redistribute data obtained from the Service at scale or for commercial purposes without our prior written permission;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except to the extent permitted by law.

We may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate access for users who breach these rules (see "Suspension and termination" below).

4a. Informational use only

AncientDraft provides Dota 2 statistics, hero meta data, and related insights for general informational and entertainment purposes only. The data is drawn from third-party sources and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Nothing on the Service is a guarantee of any in-game outcome, and you are responsible for how you use the information provided.

5. Accounts and credentials

If you log in with Steam, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.

6. Intellectual property

We retain all ownership of the Service and its intellectual property, including the software, design, branding, and documentation. Dota 2 and related marks are the property of their respective owners; AncientDraft is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation.

7. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

AncientDraft is free to use. We also offer an optional paid plan, AncientDraft Premium, at $2.99 per month, which unlocks unlimited Best Picks and Current Meta Heroes lookups. Premium is billed monthly and renews automatically until cancelled. The price and billing terms are shown clearly at the point of purchase before you pay, and you can cancel at any time from your account's subscription management page.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are handled by Paddle and are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. The Service relies on third-party data sources (such as Steam, OpenDota, and STRATZ) and may be unavailable or inaccurate from time to time.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our acceptable-use rules.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
